Grand Tour of Europe Wine Tastings
St Benedicts host a number of wine tasting dinners through out the year which explores many different countries and regions; in 2012 we shall be taking you to warmer climes, taking you to Spain, France, Portugal and Italy. Each date will showcase a specific regions wine, with the accompanying regional menu. January 25th:
Le Marche- Slow Food Norwich hosts along with Giacomo Centanni showcasing his range of organic wines, made in the very south of Le Marche.
March 21st:
Spain – Enotria Wines hosts with a diverse selection of Spanish offerings.
May 23rd:
Sicily – Hallgarten Wines hosts with a typical varied Sicilian choices; expect a suprisingly good array of local rustic style wines.
June 20th:
Portugal: Enotria Wines hosts an evening of dark red varities, with the possibility of a suprise or two.
September 12th:
Rhone – Graham Philpott of Hallgarten hosts a selection of fabulous choices.
October 17th:
Sardinia – Enotria Wines hosts an evening where traditional Italian Wine takes a back seat with Spanish and French varietals being the main focus.
